A partwork is a written publication released as a series of pre-planned magazine-like issues over a period of time. Each issue is released on a weekly or monthly basis, and often a completed set is designed to form a reference work on a particular topic.

Steve has been commissioned to work on various partworks, including the Fighting Aircraft DVD collection (Japan and UK), Weapons of War (USA) and World Air Information Files (UK, Poland, Russia and various other territories).

WAIF is arguably the most successful aviation partwork of all time, and continues to sell in large numbers across the globe in 2009.
